With alpha Technik throttle kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost every desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 35kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2kW/kg and double the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, there are legal requirements, such as exhaust gas, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery, as unchanged as possible.

From the beginning, alpha Technik has shaped the development of power, performance changes for the new Euro 5 vehicles according to currently valid guidelines. Since the launch of the protected MCR throttle modules in 2016, we have been offering you and your customers reliable technology at the highest level at an affordable price.

The latest version makes throttling for "ride-by-wire" vehicles even easier, faster and more comfortable. These vehicles can now be reliably reduced to 35 kW without the additional throttle plates (*) previously used. The newly developed control technology of the modules ensures the correct ratio of gas and air at all times.

The redundancy required by the legislator is, of course, fulfilled, as is electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
Workshop time for installing the throttle reduction is significantly reduced; installation is faster and very easy to carry out.
A major advantage of the MCR throttle for bikers remains the complete number-plate bracket of the angle of rotation at the throttle twist grip – every movement towards full throttle provides propulsion!

With the introduction of component type approval in 2025 and the discontinuation of component certificates from 2028, alpha Technik is already implementing the new, stricter approval procedure. Not only are new developments made to the required level of component type approval, but existing component certificates are also raised to the level of component type approval.

(*) For Euro 5 vehicles with conventional throttle cables to the throttle bodies, additional throttle plates remain an essential component for correct mixture composition – this prevents leaning out with reduced gas supply, but fully opened throttle bodies.
