With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 35kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.
A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
From the beginning, alpha Technik has shaped the development of power, performance modifications for new Euro 5 vehicles according to currently valid guidelines. Since the launch of the protected MCR restriction modules in 2016, we have offered you and your customers reliable technology at the highest level and at an affordable price.
The latest version makes restriction for 'ride-by-wire' vehicles even easier, faster, and more convenient. These vehicles can now be restricted to 35 kW with absolute operational safety without the additional restriction plates (*) previously used. The newly developed control technology of the modules ensures the correct ratio of gas and air at all times.
The redundancy required by law is, of course, met, as is electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
Workshop time for installing the restriction is significantly reduced, installation is faster and very easy to carry out.
A major advantage of the MCR restriction for bikers remains the complete number-plate bracket of the twist angle on the throttle twist grip – every movement towards full throttle provides propulsion!
With the introduction of type part approval in 2025 and the discontinuation of parts certificates from 2028, alpha Technik is already implementing the new, stricter approval procedure. Not only are new developments being made at the required level of type part approval, but parts certificates are also being brought up to the level of type part approval.

(*) For Euro 5 vehicles with conventional throttle cables to the throttle bodies, the additional restriction plates remain an indispensable component for correct mixture composition – this prevents leaning out with reduced gas supply but fully open throttle bodies.
