General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear forkfork springs, made from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring sport, we generally recommend recommend a progressive forkfork spring to optimise the response and, on the other hand, to increase the bottoming resistance. The combination of the "Zero Friction" forkfork springs with the specially developed Wilbers forkfork oil, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle, is very important. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon forkfork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfork springs, are in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator, together with an abrasive medium specially designed for this purpose.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive medium and, through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the workpiece surface. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers forkfork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each forkfork spring set includes a recommendation regarding the viscosityviscosity of the forkfork oil and the air chamber height in the forkfork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheelhandlebar.
