General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear forkfedern, made from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and sport touring, we generally recommend a progressive forkfeder to optimise response and increase bottom-out reserves. Crucially, combine the "Zero Friction" forkfedern with the specially developed Wilbers forköl and observe the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend Wilbers' very lightweight linear chrome-silicon forkfedern, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfedern, are placed together with an abrasive body specially designed for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive body, and the constant rubbing together leads to a smoothing of the componentupperfläche. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers forkfedern, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of forkfedern includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the forköl and the air chamber height in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
