General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear forkfedern, made from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring-sport applications, recommend we generally recommend a progressive forkfeder to optimise response and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming-out reserves. The combination of "Zero Friction" forkfedern with the specially developed Wilbers forköl and adherence to the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle is crucial. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsports applications, recommend we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon forkfedern from Wilbers, which were co-developed with the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfedern, are placed together with a grinding media specifically adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the grinding media, leading to a smoothing of the workpiece surface through constant rubbing. The result of the processing is a fine, shiny surface.
For Wilbers forkfedern, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of forkfedern includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the forköl and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
