The holder set for the winglets is not required for the BMW M 1000 R. It enables the mounting of the M Wings on the S 1000 R. For our carbon, we exclusively use pre-preg fabric produced specifically for this purpose, which is also used in a similar form in Formula 1 and aerospace. The material, elaborately laminated by hand and hardened in several stages in an autoclave, not only impresses with its unique appearance but also with its exceptional technical properties. For the same volume, it possesses three times the specific stiffness of steel and, at the same time, due to its particularly low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content. To optimally protect this high-quality material from influencesn of all kinds from the environment, we are the only carbon manufacturer worldwide to use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear coat, this provides an unprecedented and unique deep effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material. So that not only riding but also fitting is a pleasure, we use only the original mounting points for this part.
