This carbon part replaces the original component using the original mounting points.The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as usual, covered with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating vastly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in its protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating doesn't just score technically, it also significantly accentuates the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
