The left carbon engine cover for the Ducati Monster 1200 / 1200 S from model year 2017 complements the original component using the original mounting points. The carbon part protects the sensitive series component with the lowest possible weight addition, especially compared to metal solutions.The focus is on weight savings (typically around 70% savings compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, subsequently coated with a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences.
This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only scores technically; it also clearly accentuates the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
