The left carbon engine cover for the Ducati Monster 1200 / 1200 S from model year 2017 complements the original component using the original mounting points. The carbon part protects the sensitive standard component with minimal added weight, especially compared to metal solutions.The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. The carbon part has been manufactured completely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, subsequently coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences.
This plastic coating significantly surpasses conventional clear lacquer in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only impresses technically but also clearly accentuates the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
