General description

CLU - the link between street and racing. This high-performance shock absorber is dedicated to street and sport motorcycles. This is a gas-pressure assisted shock absorber, with a separating piston for oil / nitrogen in the balance tank, Ø16mm piston rod with anti-friction coating and a friction-minimised bushing. The lower and upper mountings are made from an aluminium alloy, as used in aerospace - precisely CNC machined. The setting of the spring preload is hydraulic and can be adjusted both manually and by a 14 mm HH screw.

The balance tank is separated from the housing to allow for better positioning on the vehicle and to optimise the cooling of the hydraulic oil. They are connected by a flexible, steel-braided hose. The shock absorber improves feedback from the bike and increases grip and comfort.

The last digit in the shock absorber designation indicates the colour of the spring: "1" stands for a red spring, while shock absorbers ending in "2" have a black spring. For example, the shock absorber "CLU31" has a red spring, and "CLU32" consequently has a black one.
