The left side L/S air intake duct for the BMW R 1250 GS Adventure from model year 2019 replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The main benefits are weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity.The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines, and in the next step, to protect against environmental influences, was coated with a clear plastic coating. This plastic coating enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only scores technically, it also clearly accentuates the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
