The air ducting under the oil radiator for the BMW R 1250 GS from model year 2019 replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity.The carbon part was manufactured completely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and subsequently coated with a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences. This plastic coating enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only scores technically; it also clearly emphasises the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
