The right air duct including flap for the BMW R 1250 GS from model year 2019 replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight savings (typically approx. 70% savings compared to the original component) and increased rigidity.The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, in the next step, coated with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only scores technically but also significantly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
