The left air duct, including flap, for the BMW R 1250 GS from model year 2019 onwards, replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The primary focus is on weight savings (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity.The carbon part was manufactured entirely from pre-preg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then covered with a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences. This plastic coating vastly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only scores technically; it also significantly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
