The air duct left side L/S for the original stainless steel water cooler cover of the BMW R 1250 GS from model year 2019 replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The main focus is weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity.The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then covered with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating far surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only scores technically, it also significantly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
