General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear springs, made from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring-sport recommend, we generally recommend a progressive spring to optimise the response and, on the other hand, increase bottoming resistance. Crucially important is the combination of the 'Zero Friction' springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the respective corresponding vehicle. If desired, in special cases, an individual adjustment can be achieved by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very lightweight linear chrome-silicon springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers springs, are placed together with abrasive media specially adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container generate a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media and, through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the componentupper surface. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each spring set includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork oil and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
