Product Details

Wilbers progressive fork spring kit for Harley-Davidson FLTRXSE CVO Road Glide, Type: FL4, model year 2023-2024

General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome silicon steel. In touring and touring-sport recommend we generally recommend a progressive fork spring to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming resistance. Crucially, the "Zero Friction" fork springs should be combined with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil, and the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle must be observed. If desired, an individual setup can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.

For motorsport applications recommend we recommend the very lightweight linear chrome-silicon fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:

During vibratory finishing, the components to be processed, such as Wilbers fork springs, are located together with an abrasive media specially tailored for this application in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.

The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media, leading to a smoothing of the componentupper surface through constant rubbing. At the end of the process, a fine, glossy surface is achieved.

For Wilbers fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each fork spring set includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork oil and the air chamber height in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.

Note: please order the fork oil separately.
