Wilbers forkfork spring kit, linear, for YAMAHA XT 1200 Z Super Tenere, Type DP01 / DP04 / DP07, model year 10-, 80 mm lowering including reducing sleeven, (forkfork oil to be ordered separately), with ABE according to the application list.

General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear forkfork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring-sport applications, we typically recommend a progressive forkfork spring to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming resistance. The combination of "Zero Friction" forkfork springs with the specially developed Wilbers forkfork oil and adherence to the correct air chamber for the corresponding vehicle is very important. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon-forkfork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through tumble finishing:
During tumble finishing, the components to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfork springs, are placed together with an abrasive media specially adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media, and through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the component surface. At the end of the process, a fine, glossy surface is achieved.
For Wilbers forkfork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each forkfork spring set includes a recommendation for the viscosity fork oil viscosity and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheelhandlebar.
