General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear forkfork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring-sport applications, we generally recommendrecommend a progressive forkfork spring to optimise responsiveness on the one hand and increase bottoming resistance on the other. Crucial is the combination of the 'Zero Friction' forkfork springs with the specially developed Wilbers forkfork oil, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the correspondingrespective vehicle. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommendrecommend the very light linear chrome-silicon-forkfork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the Motorsport Team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the componentworkpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfork springs, are placed together with abrasive media specially adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, the so-called trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media, and through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the componentworkpiece uppersurface. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers forkfork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each forkfork spring set includes a recommendation for the viscosityviscosity of the forkfork oil and the height of the air chamber in the forkfork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheelfront end.
