General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear forkfork springs, made from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring-sport recommend, we generally recommend a progressive forkfork spring to optimise the response and, on the other hand, to increase the bottoming resistance. Crucial is the combination of the "Zero Friction" forkfork springs with the specially developed Wilbers forkoil, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle. If desired, in special cases, an individual setup can be achieved by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon forkfork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the components to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfork springs, together with an abrasive media specifically adapted for this purpose, are located in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media and, through constant rubbing against each other, lead to a smoothing of the componentuppersurface. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers forkfork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of forkfork springs includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the forkoil and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
