General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear forkfork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring sport, we generally recommend a progressive forkfork spring to optimise the response and, on the other hand, to increase the reserves against bottoming out. Crucially important is the combination of the 'Zero Friction' forkfork springs with the specially developed Wilbers forkoil, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the respective correspondingvehicle. If desired, an individual setup can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very lightweight linear chrome-silicon forkfork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfork springs, are placed together with an abrasive media specifically matched for this application in a vibrating container, the so-called trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media, and through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the componentuppersurface. At the end of the processing, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers forkfork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each forkfork spring set includes a recommendation regarding the viscosity of the forkoil and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
