General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear forkfork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring sport, we generally recommend a progressive forkfork spring to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, increase bottoming resistance. The combination of the "Zero Friction" forkfork springs with the specially developed Wilbers forkoil and observing the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle is very important. If desired, an individual setup can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon-forkfork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the parts to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfork springs, are placed together with abrasive media specially matched for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media, and through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the componentuppersurface. At the end of the processing, there is a fine, shiny surface.
For Wilbers forkfork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of forkfork springs includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the forkoil and the air chamber height in the forkfork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
