General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear forkfedern, made from the best and highest quality chrome silicon steel. In touring and touring sport, we generally recommend a progressive forkfeder to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, increase bottoming resistance. Very important is the combination of the "Zero Friction" forkfedern with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil and observing the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle. If desired, an individual setup can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very lightweight linear chrome silicon forkfedern from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the components to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfedern, are located together with an abrasive media specifically adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media and lead to a smoothing of the componentupperfläche through constant rubbing. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers forkfedern, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each forkfedern set includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork oil and the air chamber height in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
