Wilbers forkfedern set, progressive, for Triumph Thunderbird (Classic), Type T 309 RT, model year 93- (fork oil must be ordered separately), with ABE according to the application list.

General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear forkfedern, made from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring-sport applications, we recommend generally use a progressive forkfeder to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming resistance. Crucial is the combination of the "Zero Friction" forkfedern with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle. If desired, in special cases, individual tuning can be achieved by altering the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon forkfedern from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the component to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfedern, are located together with an abrasive media specifically adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container generate relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media and through constant rubbing against each other, lead to a smoothing of the componentupper surface. At the end of the process, a fine, glossy surface is achieved.
For Wilbers forkfedern, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of forkfedern includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork oil and the air chamber height in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback on the front wheel.
