General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear forkfedern, made from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring sport, we generally recommend a progressive forkfeder to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming resistance. Crucial is the combination of "Zero Friction" forkfedern with the specially developed Wilbers forköl, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle. If desired, in special cases, individual tuning can be achieved by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend Wilbers' very light linear chrome-silicon forkfedern, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfedern, together with an abrasive media specially tuned for this purpose, are located in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container generate a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media and, through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the workpiece surface. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers forkfedern, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each forkfedern set includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the forköl and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimum riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.

Note: please order the forköl separately.
