General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear forkfedern, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. In touring and touring-sport applications, we generally recommend a progressive forkfedern to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming resistance. The combination of "Zero Friction" forkfedern with the specially developed Wilbers forköl and observing the correct air chamber for the correspondinge vehicle is very important. If desired, in special cases, an individual setup can be achieved by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very lightweight linear chrome-silicon-forkfedern from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the componente to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfedern, together with an abrasive media specially adapted for this purpose, are placed in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media and, through constant rubbing against each other, lead to a smoothing of the componentupperfläche. At the end of the process, a fine, glossy surface is achieved.
For Wilbers forkfedern, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of forkfedern includes a recommendation regarding the viscosity of the forköl and the height of the air chamber in the fork.
These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
