General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear forkfedern, made from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring sport, we generally recommend a progressive forkfeder to optimise response and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming-out reserves. The combination of the "Zero Friction" forkfedern with the specially developed Wilbers forköl, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the correspondinge vehicle, is very important. If desired, in special cases it is possible to achieve individual tuning by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon-forkfedern from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the componente to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfedern, are placed together with an abrasive media specifically adapted for this application in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media and, through constant rubbing against each other, lead to a smoothing of the componentupperfläche. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers forkfedern, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each forkfedern set includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the forköl and the air chamber height in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimum riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
