General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear forkfedern, made from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. In touring and touring-sport, we generally recommend a progressive forkfeder to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, increase bottoming-out reserves. Very important is the combination of the "Zero Friction" forkfedern with the specially developed Wilbers forköl, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle. If desired, an individual setup can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon-forkfedern from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the componente to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfedern, are located together with an abrasive media specially tailored for this application in a vibrating container, the so-called trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media and, through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the componentupperfläche. At the end of the process, there is a fine, shiny surface.
For Wilbers forkfedern, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of forkfedern includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the forköl and the air chamber height in the fork. These values were determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
