Wilbers fork springs for Yamaha XJ 750/ F 84-

Product Details

Wilbers fork spring kit, progressive, for Yamaha XJ 750/ F, Type 41 Y, model year 84- (fork oil to be ordered separately), with ABE according to the application list

General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. In touring and touring-sport applications, we typically recommend a progressive fork spring to optimise response behaviour and, on the other hand, increase bottoming reserves. Crucially, the combination of "Zero Friction" fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the corresponding vehicle, is important. If desired, an individual setup can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the Motorsport Team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the componentes to be processed, such as Wilbers fork springs, are placed together with abrasive media specifically designed for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media, leading to a smoothing of the componentupper through constant rubbing. The process results in a fine, shiny surface.
For Wilbers fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means minimised friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of fork springs includes a recommendation regarding the viscosity of the fork oil and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.

Note: please order the fork oil separately.
