Product details

Wilbers fork spring kit, progressive, for Suzuki GSF 650 Bandit (with ABS), type WVB 5, model year 05-06 (please order fork oil separately), with ABE according to the application list.

General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring-sport applications, we generally recommend a progressive fork spring to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, to increase resistance to bottoming out. The combination of 'Zero Friction' fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil and adherence to the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle is very important. If desired, individual adjustments can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber. For motorsport applications, we recommend Wilbers' very lightweight linear chrome-silicon fork springs, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through slide grinding:
During slide grinding, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers fork springs, are located together with an abrasive media specially adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media and lead to a smoothing of the surface of the workpiece through constant rubbing. At the end of the process, a fine, glossy surface is achieved.
For Wilbers fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each fork spring set includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork oil and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the handlebar.

Note: please order the fork oil separately.
