Wilbers fork springs for Sachs MADASS 50 04-

Product details

Wilbers fork spring kit, progressive, for Sachs MADASS 50, Type 649, model year 04- (fork oil to be ordered separately), with ABE according to the application list

General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring-sport, we generally recommend a progressive fork spring to optimise the response behaviour and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming resistance. The combination of the “Zero Friction” fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil and the observance of the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle is very important. If desired, an individual setup can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

“ZERO friction” friction reduction through slide grinding:
During slide grinding, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers fork springs, are located together with abrasive media specifically designed for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media and, through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the workpiece surface. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means minimised friction = ZERO friction.

Each fork spring set includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork oil and the air chamber height in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the handlebar.

Note: please order the fork oil separately.
