Wilbers fork springs for MZ Scorpion 93-

Product details

Wilbers fork spring set, progressive, for MZ Scorpion, Type MuZ 660 E, model year 93-, RSU fork, (fork oil to be ordered separately), with ABE according to the application list

General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring-sport recommend, we generally recommend a progressive fork spring to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, increase bottoming-out reserves. The combination of the 'Zero Friction' fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil is very important, as is observing the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through mass finishing:
During mass finishing, the component to be processed, such as Wilbers fork springs, are placed together with an abrasive media specially adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container generate a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media, and the constant rubbing against each other leads to a smoothing of the component surface. At the end of the process, a fine, glossy surface is achieved.
For Wilbers fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of fork springs includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork oil and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimum riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.

Note: Please order the fork oil separately.
