General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear forkfedern, made from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring sport, we generally recommend a progressive forkfeder to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming resistance. The combination of "Zero Friction" forkfedern with the specially developed Wilbers forköl and observing the correct air chamber for the corresponding vehicle is very important. If desired, in special cases, individual tuning can be achieved by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon-forkfedern from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfedern, are located together with an abrasive media specially tailored for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between workpiece and abrasive media, leading to a smoothing of the workpiece uppersurface through constant rubbing. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers forkfedern, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each forkfedern set includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the forköl and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.

Note: please order the forköl separately.
