Wilbers fork springs for Honda CB 650 SC 81-

Product Details

Wilbers fork spring set, progressive, for Honda CB 650 SC, type RC 08, model year 81- (fork oil must be ordered separately), with ABE according to the usage list.

General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork springs, made from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring-sport recommend, we generally recommend a progressive fork spring to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming-out reserves. Crucially important is the combination of the "Zero Friction" fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the components to be processed, such as Wilbers fork springs, are located together with a grinding media specially matched for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the grinding media, leading to a smoothing of the componentupper surface through constant rubbing. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of fork springs includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork oil and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimum riding comfort and feedback on the front wheel.

Note: please order the fork oil separately.
