General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear forkfedern, made from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring-sport, we generally recommend a progressive forkfeder to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming resistance. Crucially, the combination of "Zero Friction" forkfedern with the specially developed Wilbers forköl is very important, as is observing the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle.corresponding. If desired, in special cases, individual tuning can be achieved by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend Wilbers' very lightweight linear chrome-silicon forkfedern, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfedern, are placed together with an abrasive medium specially designed for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive medium and, through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the workpiece componentuppersurface. At the end of the process, a fine, glossy surface is achieved.
For Wilbers forkfedern, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each forkfedern set includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the forköl and the air chamber height in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimum riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
