Wilbers fork springs for Ducati Sport 1000 08-

Product details

Wilbers fork spring kit, progressive, for Ducati Sport 1000, type C1, model year 08- (fork oil to be ordered separately), with ABE according to application list.

General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. In touring and touring-sport applications, we generally recommend a progressive fork spring to optimise response and increase bottoming resistance. Crucial is the combination of "Zero Friction" fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the correspondinge vehicle. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the componente to be processed, such as Wilbers fork springs, are located together with an abrasive body specially adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container generate a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive body, and through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the componentupperfläche. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each fork spring set includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork oil and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimum riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.

Note: please order the fork oil separately.
