Wilbers fork springs for Ducati Monster S 4 R 07-

Product details

Wilbers fork spring kit, progressive, for Ducati Monster S 4 R, Type M 4, Model year 07- (fork oil to be ordered separately), with ABE according to application list

General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring-sport applications, we generally recommend a progressive fork spring to optimise response and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming resistance. Crucially, combine the 'Zero Friction' fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil and observe the correct air chamber for the vehicle in question. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the Motorsport Team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through slide grinding:
During slide grinding, the component to be processed, such as Wilbers fork springs, are placed together with an abrasive media specially adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media, and through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the componentupper surface. At the end of the process, a fine, glossy surface is achieved.
For Wilbers fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means minimising friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of fork springs comes with a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork oil and the air chamber height in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.

Note: please order the fork oil separately.
