Product Details

Wilbers fork spring set, progressive, for Ducati Monster 620 i. e., type M 4, model year 02- (fork oil to be ordered separately), with ABE according to the usage list.

General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring sport applications, we generally recommend a progressive fork spring to optimise responsiveness on the one hand, and to increase bottoming resistance on the other. The combination of "Zero Friction" fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil and observing the correct air gap for the respective vehicle is very important. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air gap.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the Motorsport Team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers fork springs, are placed together with an abrasive medium specially adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive medium, leading to a smoothing of the workpiece surface through constant rubbing. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each fork spring set includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork oil and the height of the air gap in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.

Note: please order the fork oil separately.
