General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. In touring and touring-sport, we generally `recommend` a progressive fork spring to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming-out reserves. Very important is the combination of the "Zero Friction" fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the respective `corresponding` vehicle. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we `recommend` the very lightweight linear chrome-silicon fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed with the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the `component` to be processed, such as Wilbers fork springs, are placed together with an abrasive media specifically designed for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media, leading to a smoothing of the `componentupper` surface through constant friction. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each fork spring set includes a recommendation for the `viscosity` of the fork oil and the height of the air chamber in the `fork`. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the `front wheel`.
