Wilbers fork springs for BMW G 650 Xchallenge 07-

Product details

Wilbers fork spring set, progressive, for BMW G 650 Xchallenge, Type E 65 X, model year 07- (fork oil to be ordered separately), with ABE according to the application list.

General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork springs, made from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring sport, we generally recommend a progressive fork spring to optimise response characteristics and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming resistance. The combination of the 'Zero Friction' fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil is crucial, as is observing the correct air chamber for the corresponding vehicle. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very lightweight linear chrome-silicon fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

'ZERO friction' friction reduction through slide grinding:
During slide grinding, the component to be processed, such as Wilbers fork springs, are placed together with abrasive media specifically adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media, and through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the componentupper. At the end of the process, a fine, glossy surface is achieved.
For Wilbers fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of fork springs includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork oil and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback for the front wheel.

Note: please order the fork oil separately.
