General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring sport, we generally recommend a progressive fork spring to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming resistance. Crucially, combine "Zero Friction" fork springs with specially developed Wilbers fork oil, and ensure the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle. If desired, individual fine-tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend Wilbers' very lightweight linear chrome-silicon fork springs, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers fork springs, are placed together with a grinding medium specifically tailored for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the grinding medium, and the constant rubbing together results in a smoothing of the component upper surface. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means minimising friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of fork springs includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork oil and the air chamber height in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
