Wilbers fork springs for Bimota SB 4 S 83-84

Product details

Wilbers fork spring set, progressive, for Bimota SB 4 S, model year 83-84 (fork oil to be ordered separately), with ABE according to the application list.

General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring sport recommend we generally recommend a progressive fork spring, to optimise responsiveness and increase bottoming resistance. Crucial is the combination of the "Zero Friction" fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.

For motorsport applications recommend we recommend the very lightweight linear chrome-silicon fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers fork springs, are located together with an abrasive body specially adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.

The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive body and, through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the componentupper surface. At the end of the process, a fine, glossy surface is achieved.

For Wilbers fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each fork spring set includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork oil and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.

Note: please order the fork oil separately.
