Wilbers fork springs for Aprilia SMV 750 Factory 11-

Product details

Wilbers fork spring kit, progressive, for Aprilia SMV 750 Factory, Type SM, model year 2011 onwards (fork oil must be ordered separately), with ABE according to the application list.

General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome silicon steel. For touring and touring sport, recommend we generally recommend a progressive fork spring to optimise the response and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming resistance. Crucially important is the combination of the 'Zero Friction' fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the corresponding vehicle. If desired, in special cases, an individual setup can be achieved by changing the air chamber.

For motorsport applications, recommend we recommend the very lightweight linear chrome silicon fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the Motorsport Team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through slide grinding:

During slide grinding, the components to be processed, such as Wilbers fork springs, are placed together with an abrasive media specially adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.

The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media, and through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the componentupper surface. At the end of the processing, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.

For Wilbers fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of fork springs comes with a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork oil and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.

Note: please order the fork oil separately.
