General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring-sport recommend we generally recommend a progressive fork spring, to optimise the response behaviour and on the other hand to increase the bottoming resistance. The combination of the "Zero Friction" fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil is very important, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the respective corresponding vehicle. If desired, an individual setup can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications recommend we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the components to be processed, such as Wilbers fork springs, are located along with an abrasive body specially adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container generate a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive body and, through constant rubbing against each other, lead to a smoothing of the componentupper surface. At the end of the processing, there is a fine, shiny surface.
For Wilbers fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of fork springs includes a recommendation regarding the viscosity of the fork oil and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
