General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear forkfedern, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and sport-touring recommend we generally recommend a progressive forkfeder to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming resistance. The combination of "Zero Friction" forkfedern with the specially developed Wilbers forköl and observing the correct air gap for the demcorrespondinge vehicle is very important. If desired, an individual setup can be achieved in special cases by changing the air gap.
For motorsport applications recommend we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon forkfedern from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers forkfedern, are located together with abrasive media specially adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media and, through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the componentupperfläche. At the end of the process, a fine, glossy surface is achieved.
For Wilbers forkfedern, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of forkfedern includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the forköl and the height of the air gap in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
