General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring sport, we generally recommend a progressive fork fork spring to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming resistance. Crucially, it is important to combine the "Zero Friction" fork fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil and to observe the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle. If desired, in special cases, individual tuning can be achieved by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very lightweight linear chrome-silicon fork fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers fork fork springs, are located together with an abrasive media specially adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, the so-called trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container generate a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media and lead to a smoothing of the component surface through constant rubbing. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers fork fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of fork fork springs includes a recommendation regarding the viscosity of the fork oil and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
