General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear fork fork springs, made from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and sport touring applications, we generally recommend a progressive fork fork spring to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, to increase resistance to bottoming out. The combination of "Zero Friction" fork fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil and observing the correct air chamber for the corresponding vehicle is very important. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very lightweight linear chrome-silicon fork fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through slide grinding:
During slide grinding, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers fork fork springs, are placed together with abrasive media specially matched for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media, leading to a smoothing of the component surface through constant rubbing. The result of the process is a fine, shiny surface.
For Wilbers fork fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each fork fork spring set includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork oil and the air chamber height in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimum riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
