General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring-sport, we recommend usually recommend a progressive fork fork spring to optimise responsiveness and, on the other hand, increase bottoming-out reserves. Crucially important is the combination of the "Zero Friction" fork fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork fork oil, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle. If desired, in special cases, an individual setup can be achieved by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend recommend the very lightweight linear chrome-silicon fork fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the component components to be processed, such as Wilbers fork fork springs, are placed together with an abrasive media specifically adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media, leading to a smoothing of the componentupper surface through constant rubbing. At the end of the process, a fine, gleaming surface is achieved.
For Wilbers fork fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of fork fork springs includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork fork oil and the height of the air chamber in the fork fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel.
