General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear fork fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring-sport, we generally recommend a progressive fork fork spring to optimise response and, on the other hand, to increase resistance to bottoming out. Crucial is the combination of the 'Zero Friction' fork fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork fork oil, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the respective corresponding vehicle. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon fork fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the component workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers fork fork springs, are located together with an abrasive body specifically tailored for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive body and, through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the component workpiece upper surface. At the end of the process, a fine, glossy surface is achieved.
For Wilbers fork fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means minimised friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of fork fork springs includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork fork oil and the height of the air chamber in the fork fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel handlebars.
