General Description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome silicon steel. For touring and sport touring, we generally recommend a progressive fork fork spring to optimise response and increase bottoming resistance. Crucial is the combination of "Zero Friction" fork fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the corresponding respective vehicle. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very lightweight linear chrome silicon fork fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the component parts to be processed, such as Wilbers fork fork springs, are located together with an abrasive media specially adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container generate a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media, and through constant rubbing against each other, lead to a smoothing of the componentupper surface. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers fork fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each fork fork spring set includes a recommendation for the viscosity fork oil viscosity and the height of the air chamber in the fork fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimum riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel handlebars.
